From an early age, Gregory Stavaridis has had a deep interest in the mental, physical, spiritual, cognitive and emotional aspects of health, sometimes called “holistic” or “integrative” health. After a number of years in successful business development, he chose to return to academia and pursue a profession that would facilitate this passion, that of a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Building on a bachelor degree in psychology obtained from the University of New Hampshire where he graduated magna cum laude, he attended MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston for a bachelors of science in nursing, graduating with high honors. Rotations in the Boston area include Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and an internship at the Harvard Medical School-affiliated McLean Hospital, a known world-leader in neuroscience and psychiatric research and practice. With a move to Los Angeles, he attended California State University Los Angeles’ psychiatric nurse practitioner program, graduating with ranks in the top of his class. Rotations at Cal State LA include Pacific Clinics, Aurora Las Encinas Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital’s Emergency Department, and private outpatient practice. During this course of psychiatric nurse practitioner studies, he has always maintained a focus in the population he wished to serve, that being individuals suffering from the diseases of depression, anxiety, compulsions, obsessions, and attention deficits.
Gregory is a member of the nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau and the American Psychiatric Nurse Association. His outside interests and hobbies include mountain biking (International Mountain Biking Assoc. member), running, backcountry hiking/camping, yoga (previous instructor), and drumming.
Gregory looks forward to serving you and helping to facilitate your holistic health.
