We have a multidisciplinary team to fit your needs which consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, and social workers. We offer various modalities to help you, including telemental health, psychotherapy, medication management, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

Rose Nikravesh

Rose Nikravesh, DO

Dr. Nikravesh is a compassionate board-certified Psychiatrist who is ready to help you improve your health and wellbeing. She is a Los Angeles native who graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology, followed by a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. After completing 4 years of medical school, Dr. Nikravesh relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where she completed a 4-year residency training program in general adult psychiatry. During her training, she has been exposed to a wide variety of pathology in numerous different settings which has helped her build a strong foundation of knowledge in psychiatry. She has accrued extensive expertise in treating the most acute and critically ill patients.

Dr. Nikravesh has a warm and personable style that is essential in establishing meaningful therapeutic alliances. She describes herself as a lifelong learner and is always trying to educate herself about innovative and alternative ways to help her patients. Her main objective is to make her patients feel comfortable and to empower them to participate in making the best decisions for themselves.

Sheena Chandrasekharan

Sheena Chandrasekharan

An Illinois native, Sheena has always had a deep passion with the exquisite complexities of the human brain. She became interested in the medical aspects of psychiatry and thus completed her undergraduate studies as a nursing major and psychology minor at Elmhurst College in the city of Chicago. She later completed her graduate studies obtaining a Master’s of Science degree with honors as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. Sheena is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Sheena has always been dedicated to providing quality and compassionate patient care. Sheena joined Insight Choices in 2014 and is known for her holistic approach to treatment.  Her mission is to aim her treatment towards allowing a greater quality of life and improvement in functioning. 

Sheena has always been fascinated with discovering vibrant cultures and countries, as well as has a great appreciation for nature. During her spare time, she enjoys traveling and sightseeing. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and golden retriever.

Sheena specializes in the treatment and management of a wide variety of behavioral health issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, insomnia, OCD, eating disorders, addiction disorders, and social phobia amongst many other conditions.

Thang Nguyen

Thang Nguyen, DNP, PMHNP

Thang Nguyen is the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), currently practices as a Board Certified Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.   

With more than 15 years of practice in the psychiatric mental health field, Thang has worked in different settings, from acute hospital inpatient to fast-paced psychiatric emergency room, from outpatient clinic to quality assurance for the mental health service. Thang has served multiple clients with diverse acute and chronic mental health disturbances. To Thang, these mental health conditions could be caused and aggravated by different biological and psychosocial factors. Thang actively listens to clients and collaboratively works with them to establish effective treatment plans for each individual. They include but are not limited to medication management and other forms of psychotherapy to control clients’ psychiatric symptoms and eventually keep them recover from these disturbing symptoms. Since recovery is an ultimate goal, Thang has a strong desire to serve clients to not only enhance their quality of life but also sustain their academic and occupational achievements.

Graduated from Brandman University/Chapman University System, Thang has achieved his Doctorate Degree of Nursing Practice with solid knowledge and experience to apply and utilize evidence-based practice in patient care and treatment. Furthermore, as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Thang had opportunities to be trained in different clinical settings, from general family practice service to psychiatric care in outpatient clinics. Impressed with the effective integration of psychiatric and medical care, Thang always incorporates this model into his practice. Thang has experience in identifying psychiatric conditions that may be caused or aggravated by common medical problems to ensure prompt consultation and referral for his clients to the primary care.

For the last but not least, Thang also values health promotion and incorporates it into his treatment plan. Thang encourages clients to maintain regular exercise, take adequate rest, eat healthy foods, and reduce daily stress. Thang believes these activities will contribute an important part in promoting mental health.

Brendan Greenaway

Brendan Greenaway
PA-C, CAQ Psychiatry

Brendan is a nationally certified physician assistant with specialty certification in psychiatry. He has worked in psychiatry for 10 years, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has an empathetic and compassionate approach to his practice, and strives to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with his patients in order to understand the biological, psychological, and psycho-social factors which may contribute to their illness. He encourages healthy lifestyles including exercise, proper nutrition, and sleep hygiene to promote overall well-being in addition to therapy and medication when necessary. 

Brendan’s non-traditional background informs his practice and enables him to connect with his patients. He spent his early career working as an officer in the United States Air Force before transitioning to healthcare. Brendan pursued a career in psychiatry after witnessing how patients’ mental health impacts their broader health and functioning. After his training, he worked with several community mental health clinics in rural Pennsylvania, where he treated patients with a wide range of severe psychiatric illnesses in economically-depressed areas of the state. He later worked with some of the top psychiatrists in the country at the University of Michigan Hospital in the adult inpatient unit. Since transitioning to Los Angeles, Brendan has worked treating adults in the outpatient setting.

He treats patients who suffer from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, OCD, and ADHD.

Emily Caveza

Emily Caveza, PA-C

Emily Caveza is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatry. 

She obtained her master’s in Physician Assistant Studies with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has worked in several settings with patients of all ages. She currently specializes in treating adults with a wide variety of conditions including: depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, fatigue, and insomnia. She enjoys helping patients to achieve a better mind-body connection while using a more holistic approach to healing.

Trish Tran is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in the field of psychiatry. She joined Insight Choices in 2021. Trish has a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and minor in psychology and anthropology. She completed her master’s degree in physician associate at Southern California University of Health Sciences.

In her spare time, Trish enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga, pilates, and spending time with her puppies. She strives to provide quality, patient-centered mental healthcare, where her patients are the most important member of the healthcare team.

Carmela Zaragoza, PMHNP-BC

Carmela is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over a decade of psychiatric nursing experience treating the full scope of mental health disorders across a diverse patient demographic.

A Los Angeles native by way of Hawaii and the Philippines, Carmela has a special interest in providing equitable, mental health care that is culturally centered and ethnically sensitive. You can expect a collaborative, judgment free space that allows you to be an active partner in your healing.

Carmela is also a lecturer at UCLA school of nursing and is involved in various mental health community education and outreach programs in the greater Los Angeles area.

Kristen Nakano

Kristen Nakano, PMHNP-BC

Kristen was born and raised in Los Angeles. She has graduated from the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health, Western Governors University and California State University Long Beach. She became a member of Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor’s society for nurses, after being invited to the organization following her undergraduate degree.

As a Registered Nurse, she has worked in LAC+USC hospital, the largest general hospital in Los Angeles. There she served in ICU, telemetry and psychiatric units caring for the most underserved populations such as the homeless, non-English speaking immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and clients from the jail and prison system. She has also worked in hospice caring for clients in their final stage of life.

Currently her psychiatric practice treats all ages, from children to the older population. She has experience treating clients with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders, phobias, ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, eating disorders and clients on the Autistic Spectrum.

Virginia Bradley has worked seventeen years in the Western Carolina as a registered nurse, and is currently working as a nurse practitioner, with the board certification in psychiatric and mental health. With a passion for end of life and psychiatric nursing, Virginia adds compassion and expert care to her community.  Her ten years of humanitarian relief work in South East Asia assists with her comfort and ease of communicating with various ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Jennifer Adderly

Jennifer Adderly, LMFT

Jennifer Adderly is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Addictions Registered Nurse. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Jennifer’s counseling approach is client centered and she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy interventions. She hopes to help improve self awareness, accountability and one’s ability to deal with life as it comes.

She has 25 years of experience helping others with mental and physical health issues, from addiction, relationships & communication, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, employment issues, sexuality and gender concerns, along with other more serious mental health diagnoses.

Nick Ryan

Nick Ryan
PsyD, MA, LMFT, ATR-BC

Dr. Nick Ryan graduated with his master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy with specialization in Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University in 1997 and earned his doctorate from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in 2012. He has been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years working with survivors of trauma related to child abuse, sexual abuse, and severe neglect.

Additionally, Dr. Ryan has specialized training and experience providing affirming psychotherapy to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals and couples. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist, board-certified art therapist, and contemporary psychoanalyst.

Dr. Ryan works from a neuro-relational psychoanalytic framework and is heavily influenced by Attachment Theory and neurobiology. Treatment is informed by these theories using a sensory motor psychotherapy approach which includes breathwork, mindfulness, body awareness, psychoeducation, and learning self-regulation skills in a therapeutic setting that is safe, supportive, and compassionate. This approach has been successful in treating anxiety and mood disorders, substance abuse, and trauma. Together, we will work in a collaborative partnership during your healing journey.

Dr. Ryan has worked at a non-profit multi-service agency serving children, youth and families involved in the child welfare system and juvenile justice for over two decades as a clinician, supervisor, administrator, trainer, and consultant. He is the Board President at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis and Advisor to the Board at the Association of Children’s Residential and Communities. Dr. Ryan enjoys walking his dogs, spending time with family, traveling, painting, and attending professional conferences and seminars.
